If you are employed, the visa officer wants to know that your job is real, that your employer has approved your leave, and that you have a job to come back to. A letter from your employer, often called an NOC (no objection certificate), answers all three.

Replace everything highlighted in yellow and delete lines that do not apply. Letters to embassies are written in English.
Not employed?
- Business owners: show business registration documents and tax returns or NTN instead of an employer letter. Turkey’s sticker visa lists these.
- Students: a letter from your school or university confirming you are enrolled and when classes restart.
- Someone else paying: add a sponsorship letter from the family member covering your costs.
We check that your employer letter, bank statement and cover letter all match before you apply.
Questions people ask
What is an NOC for a visa?
A no objection certificate is a letter from your employer saying they have no objection to your trip and have approved your leave. Most embassies treat it as your employment letter.
Can the letter be on plain paper?
Use company letterhead. The UK, for example, asks for an employment letter on company letterhead.
I am a government employee. What do I need?
Ask your department for a leave approval and NOC on official letterhead, with the same details as the template. We confirm what your destination needs.
Should the salary match my bank statement?
Yes. Salary credits on your statement should match the salary in the letter and your salary slips.
Visa rules change often. We confirm the current requirements and fees before you pay. A visa does not guarantee entry.
